Description
This is a 2 map set which shows where everyone lived in The Township of Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio in 1874 . Reproduced on fine natural color parchment, these maps are 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.The pictures supplied only show portions of the actual maps.
The first map (first 2 pics) shows the entire township of Conneaut which includes the villages of South Ridge & Amboy. The second map (3rd & 4th pics) shows the then planned town of Conneaut. There are also 2 inset maps of the areas known then as Pierpont Centre and Eagleville. Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners in 1874 .
It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual map! Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Woodworth, Childs, Appleby, Allen, Darling, Whitney, Harvey, Wood, Thompson, Eifield, Brown, Hart and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
These maps make wonderful gifts and really are quite the conversation piece.
