Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homesteads with the owners name. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire Township of Coventry which includes the towns or villages of Washington, West Greenwich, Nooseneck, Hopkins Hollow, Escoheag, Greene, Fairbanks Corner, Arkwright, Quidnick, Anthony, Spring Lake and Centerville. There are also business directories for Washington, Fairbanks Corner, Spring Lake, Nooseneck, Quidnick, Anthony, Greene, Coventry and Summit. Truly a great matching set!! It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps!
Some of the surnames which are printed are Greene, Harkness, Anthony, Matteson, Reed, Pearce, Hopkins, Andrew, Gorton, Stark, Horton, Miller, Stone and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, businesses, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your listings for many other fine old town maps!
